Insomnia...AAAHH

Insomnia is probably the worst thing EVER!!!

I have been waking up about 4:30 or 5 and I HAVE to pee...so I go, then when I get back in bed I can NOT fall back asleep...I go into a daze, and kinda fall asleep, but it's not good sleep! I hate it! I was always a great sleeper, boy is this baby changing me!! YIKES!!

My very eventful unborn child...

We took a trip to Key West from Satuday, August 15-Tuesday, August 18. We had a great time!

Sunday we went out on the boat and then jumped off a dock...the baby did a back flip (well I did, and the baby just came along!), then one of the other people there said to their friends that I had a more adventurous unborn child then they were! LOL We didn't do any snorkeling :( because the storm on Saturday kicked up too much sand to see anything.

Monday we got our first prenatal massage and facial, a nice birthday surprise from my hubby! Then we took the Conch tour train around Key West and finished the day at the shipwreck museum! We also used the mopeds and road all around Key West! The mopeds were SOO fun!

Tuesday we went snorkeling about 6 miles off of Key West, we saw a baracuda, some HUGE parrot fish and some other fun little fish! After snorkeling we snuck in to the Westin Hotel and hung by the pool and then we went to the Hemingway house...we saw 6-toed cats and the house...the cats were cool...the house was just OK. After that it was time to head home. We stopped a few times on the way back and just enjoyed a relaxing ride home!

What a fun extended weekend we had!! Our little one is just being so adventurous already!!

Food...

So, NOTHING sounds good to eat? Why is that? I think of things and just think immediately after...YUCK!

HELP! I need to nurture this baby!!!

Dr Appt numero dos!!

So, this appointment was not as eventful as the first one... They sucked A LOT of blood, I peed in a cup again, and I will every time I go, and they took some (TMI) vaginal cultures to make sure there aren't any infections!

The Dr and I talked about different tests to do, we decided to do a Tay-sachs due to my ancestry, and cystic Fibrosis too...he didn't recommend anything else, so we should be good to go!

We go back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound and heartbeat listening to on a little thing that looks like a microphone and speaker! Awesome and sooo exciting!

The First Doctor's Appt

Was AWESOME!!!

I know I am a little delayed, but it's been crazy around here...still unpacking from the move and getting situated!

I went, peed in a cup, they took some blood, confirmed we were having a baby, and I asked the nurse...very non-chalantly (sp) if we were gonna do an U/S...she said let me ask the Dr.

The Dr came in the room and said since you did such a great job getting pregnant so fast and you are nice people we will do an U/S...YAY!!

It was transvaginal (not as bad as I thought). We saw the heartbeat and everything. If you look at the pic below, the left side of it the doctor pointed at it and was like...you see that there, that will eventually be a big penis...you're having a boy! I said...you can't tell that yet! The Dr. said, I know, I'm just kidding! Gil was disappointed LOL, he really got excited then!

All in all wasn't bad and we have another appointment tomorrow. Then we will be going every 4 weeks!

Let's get started with a recap...

So, It's July 8th and AF is due the next day...I am SOOO impatient so I had to test. Hoping for a +, I got one!!!! I showed Gil and he was like what does that mean (it was one with the 2 lines)... I pretended like I didn't know so he was looking around for the box to read the instructions. He found it and was like...UUUUHH, does this mean what I think it means, and I, of course, couldn't stop smiling. So he says, We're gonna have a baby...YES!!!

At that point, I wanted to take another test, but there was only 1 left in the box, and I had just used it! Well, we had to go and "sleep" on it...boy was that a rough night! Got up the next morning and went to the store to get some more. Came home...Still +!

I haven't had any symptoms, except for some acne and a little fatigue! In a way I wish I could report more, but in a way I don't! I was getting a little worried about not having any signs, so on August 4th, I took another test just to make sure! And OMG was that one definitely positive! I don't think my pee even reached the circle before the line showed up! That's the bluest line I've ever seen!!

The first Dr's Appointment is set for Friday. I shall have more to report then! I am hoping for confirmation and an ultrasound since I will be about 8 weeks along!
